DO NOT LOAD A ROBOT INTO THE VENDING MACHINE UNTIL IT HAS BEEN PROPERLY ANCHORED TO THE WALL. ROBOTS UNACCUSTOMED TO CONFINEMENT MAY CAUSE THE VENDING MACHINE TO TIP OVER IF IT IS NOT SECURED.
NEVER ALLOW A HUMAN TO ENTER THE VENDING MACHINE. SERIOUS RISK OF ELECTROCUTION OR SUFFOCATION.

DEPTH: 1.208 METERS (47.6")

DC–0302–XL: 60 Hz 240 V (North America & Japan)
DC–0302–XP: 50 Hz 230 V (United Kingdom & Western Europe)
On average, the DC-0302 draws 500 W of power.
A robot stored inside the booth will be charged 20 J per second (20 W) via environmental induction.
IMPORTANT: ENSURE ALL POWER CONVERTERS ARE PROPERLY RATED FOR HIGH LOADS. DURING POWER–ON THE BOOTH MAY CONSUME AS MUCH AS 2000 W (8.7 A, FOR UK VOLTAGE).

Vending machine configuration is accomplished using standard menus, which will be presented to anyone who simply touches it. Most functionality is restricted to the booth’s owner.
ROBOT REQUIREMENTS: The robot must have a working RLV relay enabled for curfew to be effective. For rentals to function properly, the robot must have Companion 8.4 or later with the “Spring Utilities” unbundled software product installed, or ARES alpha 1 or later with the “rental” application package. Note that the ARES rental package may not be available at the time of release.
POSTURE SELECTION: Choose “ANIMATION” from the main menu to be presented with a list of available posture presets. The “< PREV” and “NEXT >” buttons allow for navigation between postures, which are sorted alphabetically. Postures demarcated with a preceding “commercial at” symbol (“@”) will cause the robot inside to animate seductively, which is a very good way to attract the attention of potential customers.
POSTURE ADJUSTMENT: The robot inside the vending machine may access its menu as well, albeit in a limited fashion. In addition to choosing a new posture, the robot may also use the “SAVE POS” and “RESET POS” buttons to change the way in which the vending machine enforces its position within the interior. For the best and most attractive results, set the position for every animation in the system using one unit. This will ensure that the position is consistent should another girl ever “man” the booth, even if she has longer legs than the one before her!
CURFEW SETTINGS: Under the “SETUP” menu you will find controls for assigning a curfew to the vending machine’s occupant. A curfew prevents the robot from releasing itself. You may choose a permanent curfew, or a scheduled one, by inputting hours and minutes in the Pacific time zone. Only the booth’s owner can access the setup menu — after all, you wouldn’t want customers fooling around in there.
RESERVATION SETTINGS: Also under the “SETUP” menu is the option to assign a reservation for a given booth. Robots can be feisty little things and will often fight among themselves for the best seat in the house unless you enforce your will over who gets to sit where. Whenever there is a robot in the booth, you may set a reservation that will keep out other occupants by using this menu option. In the spirit of fairness, your vending machine will also refuse entry during a rental, so that the robot who left it last can be assured it will be available upon the conclusion of its outing.
RENTAL SETTINGS: Finally and most importantly, the “SETUP” menu also contains the rental menu. Unless you are simply testing the booth, you will want to keep rentals enabled at all times. You may set any price you like, even free, although obviously do not recommend this! Whatever you choose, when customers pay the vending machine they will be allowed to specify how long they wish to take your robot out on a date, up to 4 times the duration (and price) you specify. If you do not want to let your girls stay out too late with one customer, setting rentals in smaller increments of both time and money will help prevent unwelcome attachments.
In case one of your robots does develop an unwelcome attachment (this can happen often in busy stores), admonish it firmly with the mnemonic Y.C.W.N.B.Y. (Your Crush Will Never Buy You). Most units are bright little things and will remember this after the first time. If it takes more than three reminders, it may be time to suggest a different kind of “crush” entirely — many scrap yards are only too happy to receive unwanted dolls!

It’s true that the DC–0302 is not as customizable or as lightweight as the Consumer Products Collectors' Display/Rental Case, despite offering similar options for customers. In light of this we have included texture templates for you to adapt the DC–0302 to your place of business so that it may accurately represent the product inside while still standing out.
The notecard accompanying this device in-world has textures inserted here you can use for customization. These cannot be listed here.
We hope you enjoy your robot vending machine and that it brings you both pleasure and profit for many years.
