The head patter has no options to configure.
However, you may disable animations and sounds by deleting the corresponding assets from its inventory. ... Or you could turn it into a slapper, if you're feeling masochistic.
The color of the head-pats matches whoever's patting you, if possible. It won't show up on the first pat, but it will on the second!
So long as the avatar is running Companion or an ARES version newer than 0.1.5, extensibility mode is enabled. This means the patter will send the message "patted" or "patted combo" on the light bus (see the Light Bus Protocol) whenever one of those events occurs. Consider scripting more flashy effects to match!
The patter does not generate arousal or damage, only power. That way, anyone can pat you without you having to worry about being griefed or inconvenienced.
